    Yes the spec sheets says plywood, but I'm thinking that I was told they were all the Acoustiboard (or whatever).
    Since I have almost zero experience with stuff that new I'd defer to that judgement.

    Yes, it would be there for a few seconds, and then vaporize. I kept reloading the page to try and read it, but I'm slow at finding where I left off reading.

    Re: loaded 816VI cabinets on ebay

    I get three posts;

    Post #71 Todd W. White, "Bill's is an improved version of the idea, which he had before ALPro beat him to it. It has a proprietary crossover designed using their new TEF system, and is outstanding!

    Spec Sheet = http://www.greatplainsaudio.com/downloads/212_8A.pdf"

    Post #72 [whitebroncoii, "<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I did some checking and regardless of what the data sheet says the 816VIX enclosure, and therefore the 9864-8A and 9894-8A, are special OSB (strand board) with vinyl-wrap. The material is made using a moisture resistant glue."

    Post #73 Audio_by_Goodwill. "<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thank you Gary for checking that out further. I appreciate it!

    Enviroboard IIRC, a press-board made from various waste products.

    Yes, that's what Gary (Whitebroncoii) called it in that thread I linked to, earlier. It's an OSB type material.......smaller particles than what I'm used to seeing in OSB, but larger than particle board.

    Dunno about yours, I was just responding to OG, though there was someone that posted pics of an 828 made from Enviroboard and the only reason I know Altec ever used it at all.

    Yeah, if this is ~accurate, it's mostly a bonding agent: http://www.iagram.com/components/com...1771689815.jpg
